Dan Vermillion was raised on the banks of the Yellowstone River in Montana. After spending years guiding some of the world’s most exotic and famed fisheries, Dan started Sweetwater Travel with his brothers, Jeff and Pat Vermillion. Sweetwater Travel is based in Livingston, Montana, and owns and operates fishing lodges and camps in Alaska, the Bahamas, Brazil, British Columbia, Montana, and Mongolia.
Dan has served on Montana’s Fish, Wildlife and Parks Commission since 2007. Presently, he is the Commission’s Chairman. Dan’s family owns a ranch on the Yellowstone River near Big Timber. The ranch’s open-space values have been protected by a Montana Land Reliance conservation easement since 2002.
Dan is a graduate of American University and has a law degree from the University of Montana. Dan and his wife Lynn have three children and live in the Shields River Valley near Livingston.
